In our recent pupil voice questionnaire this is what some of our children said about Collective Worship:
'Collective Worship makes me feel calm and peaceful, I can learn more about our community.' Year 1 pupil
'It's a time to talk with God and to think about the world.' Year 5 pupil
'Collective worship gives me a place where I can think and reflect on what is being spoken. Sometimes it makes me sad to hear that other people don't have homes/ families/ food and it makes me feel grateful that I do but it makes me think about how I can help them' Year 2 pupil.
'It makes me feel more connected to the school, I feel energised and happy after singing together.' Year 4 pupil
'Sometimes I feel guilty when I reflect...collective worship connects to spiritual learning.' Year 6 pupil
In our recent pupil voice questionnaire, this is what some of our children said about our school vision 'Let your light shine, be the best we can be!'
'We can let our light shine in our community by helping others and picking up litter.' Year 1 child
'It's about being yourself and doing your best.' Year 6 pupil
'We are all unique, we need to help out, try hard, and include everyone.' Year 4 pupil
'We need to let our light shine, not just in lessons but also at home. We need to share with others, show our passion and try our best. At school we need to try to be the best version of ourselves, at home we can be helpful to adults and in the community we can raise money for charities.' Year 5 pupil.
'We shine our light by opening doors and helping our friends if they are sad. I shine my light by always trying to be the best I can be.' Year 2 pupil
'We shine our light by being kind to each other and by looking after each other.' Year 3 pupil
